Revitalize Your Smile with Porcelain Veneers

Have you noticed that your smile isn’t what it once was when you were young? As you age, your smile can lose its youthful appearance as the enamel of the teeth show signs of wear and stains. You might even have decay and fillings, or other areas of concern that make you want to constantly hide your smile. Porcelain veneers can revitalize your smile by helping to improve the shape, color, length, and size of your teeth.

Dr. Timothy Luong is highly trained in the diagnostics and treatment of oral health conditions. At Ascend Dental Studio in Henderson, NV, Dr. Timothy Luong offers porcelain veneers to revitalize your smile and give you a more youthful appearance.

Why should I consider porcelain veneers?

Do you want a more youthful appearance? Your smile is one of the first things that people notice about you. If your teeth are yellow or discolored, they can make you look older and sickly. A shiny white smile almost instantly makes you appear younger.

Additional benefits of porcelain veneers include:

• Correct dental issues such as decay, stains, cracks, chips, and crooked teeth
• Offer a natural look
• Long-lasting
• Give you a white smile
• Almost instantly improve the appearance of your teeth
• Durable
• Stain resistant
• Easy to care for
• Require only minimal maintenance

Are porcelain veneers right for me?

Do you want a more youthful smile? If you answered “yes,” then porcelain veneers might be ideal for you.

If you want to find out if you are a suitable candidate for porcelain veneers, we suggest scheduling an appointment with Dr. Timothy Luong for a complete dental exam. She will evaluate your oral health and ensure you have no signs of periodontal disease. Also, she will look at your bite to ensure that you do not chronically grind your teeth.

Cosmetic veneers are an excellent way to hide stains and other discolorations of the teeth. They can also improve the appearance of aging and worn teeth. Porcelain veneers can fix gaps in your teeth and correct misalignments.

If Dr. Timothy Luong determines that you are a viable candidate for porcelain veneers, your cosmetic veneers are custom-made so they fit perfectly over your teeth to give a natural appearance.

The process of getting porcelain veneers

It will usually take two separate appointments to get porcelain veneers. During the first visit, Dr. Timothy Luong will start to prepare your teeth by shaving off very thin layers of enamel from the surface of the teeth. She will then craft a physical model of your veneers, which is used for all customizations. A digital impression is taken of your full mouth. She will then install temporary veneers.

During your second appointment, which takes place about two weeks following the first appointment, Dr. Timothy Luong will fit your teeth with your completed porcelain veneers and make minor adjustments to ensure the proper fit. You can then start enjoying your new smile.
