What is a smile makeover?

A smile makeover is exactly that: a makeover for the teeth and smile. This smile rejuvenation can involve just one procedure or a series of them, whatever a patient chooses. Dr. Timothy Luong creates custom treatment plans to help his patients near Henderson, NV achieve their goals for their smiles and to resolve dental issues. She works diligently to restore gapped, aging, damaged, or dull smiles.

Flaws that can be corrected during a smile makeover

A smile makeover near Henderson, NV can resolve many flaws, including:

1. Gaps
2. Receding gums
3. Chips
4. Cracks
5. Discoloration
6. Missing teeth

During a consultation, Dr. Timothy Luong evaluates a patient’s teeth and gums closely to decide if they are ideal candidates for a smile makeover. Any existing dental issue must be resolved before any smile makeover procedure begins. X-rays allow him to see any signs of cavities, gum disease, or bone loss or deterioration.

Reasons to consider a smile makeover

There are many benefits to improving your smile, including:

1. Brighter and whiter teeth: Dr. Timothy Luong offers Philips Zoom! laser teeth whitening and Opalescence® at-home kits to whiten a smile up to several shades.
2. Restore and repair broken, chipped, or cracked teeth: These imperfections affect how your smile looks and how you chew. Veneers are used to instantly restore a smile while dental bonding can restore minor imperfections.
3. Improve the shape, size, length, or width of teeth: Cosmetic dentistry procedures, such as veneers, can give a patient a more symmetrical smile.
4. Correct crooked, crowded, or gapped teeth: Patients who want a straighter smile can use ClearCorrect aligners to gradually move teeth to desired positions.
5. Improve your oral health: Correcting gaps, crowded, or even misaligned teeth instantly improves your oral health as these flaws make them more likely to develop tooth decay.

Will insurance cover my smile makeover procedures?

Most of the time, dental insurance will only cover procedures that they see as medically necessary. However, Dr. Timothy Luong works hard to prove that some of these procedures are necessary to restore or improve oral health. At Ascend Dental Studio, we offer GreenSky and CareCredit to make our dental treatments more affordable when your insurance company won’t cover them.
